Emilio de la Morena - To Fashion

For the month of December we've handed over the VOGUE.COM Loves reins to fashion's finest and invited them to tell us what they love. Today, a Jean Arp woodcut.
"My favourite thing is a Jean Arp signed colour woodcut I have, which I adore. It is very simple but beautiful.

It was a present from my parents. They got it for me about five years ago when they were here in London.

I've always loved Jean's work, it's very holographic and three-dimensional. The shapes are organic and you can never really tell what's there. This piece is black and white.

Whenever I'm in Paris, I always go to the Pompidou Centre, where they have lots of his work. It inspired my first spring/summer collection." - Emilio de la Morena

Along with Philip Utz (Numero), Patrick Cabasset (L'Officiel), Laurent Dombrowicz (Citizen K), Aurelie Lambillon (Jalouse) and a few other French journalists, I was invited to London for the announcement of the New Generation Awards.

The first person that I saw at the Gare du Nord was Philip Utz who always makes me laugh, even at 7h in the morning. Philip Utz, Editor at Large, Numero and Daily Rubbish's Jenny Dyson and Erin O'Connor, Dovie Mamikunian and British Fashion Council's Anna Orsini with Patrick Cabasset (L'Official) in the middle.

We were taken to the Shoreditch House for breakfast before heading over to the Press Conference at Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch.

This group shot is not so great, visit the BFC's site for better images. Out of 100 dossiers, 20 were chosen.
