Military Fashion Trend For Women - Fashion

Military Fashion Trend For Women - Military inspired fashion is a catwalk favourite, appearing in different collections over the seasons. Making this look not so much a trend as a wardrobe stalwart. With all that is happening in the world today, the military trend could not be more present-day and that is why it keeps evolving into new variations.

The look has moved on from the Napoleonic styled jackets with high stand collars and military jackets with metal buttons and gold braiding. Cheryl Cole embraced this look as she ' fights for her love'. Victoria Beckham has also been spotted out and about sporting this look.

This Autumn season is all about tough combat style mixed with modern functionality and fun. The forces have influenced two key looks, the Army and the Aviator style.

The Army interpretation is about khaki greens and olives, with a splash of camouflage.

The utilitarian uniform is evident in coats, jackets, trousers and blouses. Heavy duty utility pieces that make up a distinguished urban uniform that commands the seasons' attention. Why not team a vintage fatigue jacket with this summers frilly/floral dress to take it through the Autumn/Winter season.
The aviator style was first developed by Amelia Earhart long before celebrity design was a popular phenomena. Amelia designed the 'Active Living' lines as an expression of her image. Her concept of simple natural pieces that were wrinkle proof and washable, ' the embodiment of a sleek, purposeful but feminine women' were sold in 50 stores such as Macy's. The classic aviation pioneer is an undying source of fashion inspiration.

Today's aviator style is about dark tones with brown leather jackets lined with sheepskin, shearling or fur. Take inspiration from wartime land girls attire with a full length jumpsuit, nipped in at the waist and tapered at the ankles. You could even layer the jumpsuit over a shirt with the sleeves rolled up for a feminine touch.
A leather bomber jacket teamed with a pair of Jodhpurs which are tucked into boots gives the perfect masculine yet sexy feminine look. Modernise the look with skinny cuts and form fitting pieces. Take the utility look to work with a well cut tailored suit in teal, olive or grey. Simple, sleek and chic. Add a frame handbag, kitten heels and the minimum of accessories.
The great thing about military fashion is that you can integrate little bits of it into your everyday look without going overboard. It will add a little edge to your look in an instant.Military Fashion Trend For Women
